BC School of Real Estate exists for one simple reason:
Too many capable people fail the UBC licensing exams, not because they aren’t smart, but because they weren’t given a clear plan for what to study, how to practice, and when they’re truly ready.
For over 20 years, our family has helped people in British Columbia prepare for careers in:
Real Estate Trading Services
Mortgage Brokering
Strata Management
Rental & Property Management
To date, we’ve supported 10,000+ learners, many of whom were:
working full-time
supporting families
new to Canada
or studying in English as a second language
Our approach
UBC provides the course materials and administers the licensing exams.
What they don’t provide is exam-focused guidance.
Most students struggle with:
Knowing what to study (and what to skip)
Understanding math under time pressure
Building a realistic study plan
Deciding when they are actually ready to book the exam
Our role is to bridge that gap. We do this through:
Clear, structured study plans
Step-by-step math instruction designed for retention
Practice questions, quizzes, and full mock exams
Honest readiness guidance — we tell you when to wait and when to book
Our programs are designed especially for ESL learners and busy adults who need clarity, repetition, and confidence — not overwhelm.
Our family legacy
BC School of Real Estate was founded by Fred Nathwani, an educator who believed that licensing exams should be challenging — but never confusing or inaccessible.
Fred helped thousands of students enter the real estate industry long before online courses became common. His focus was always the same:
Teach clearly
Support consistently
And never leave students guessing
Today, students still find us by searching his name, and that legacy continues through the work we do every day.
About Samir Nathwani, CPA, Ed.M

I’m Samir Nathwani, and I carry forward the work my brother started.
I was born in Edmonton and raised in Vancouver. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia, became a Chartered Professional Accountant, and later completed a Master’s in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
I’ve worked across Canada, the United States, and Brazil — but my commitment has always been to education.
I believe deeply in education’s ability to change lives, families, and communities. That belief shapes how we teach: supportive, structured, and honest.
We will encourage you, guide you, and give you the tools to succeed — but we will also be clear about the work required. Passing the exam takes practice, repetition, and commitment. Our job is to give you the system that makes that effort count.
